Iron Maiden: The Book of Souls

    Seid Ihr auch so begeistert vom neuen Iron Maiden Album? Für mich das beste Album seit Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. :halloweenyes:

    Ja, tolles Album. Ich freue mich auch auf die Tour nächstes Jahr. Das einzige was mich bei dem Album stört ist die allgegenwärtige Dynamikkompression heutzutage (und den ein oder anderen schnelleren Song hätten sie vielleicht auch noch dazupacken können). Davon kriege ich echt taube Ohren und kann kein Instrument mehr vom anderen unterscheiden. Alles verschwindet im Hintergrund.


    Ich höre grade das erste Maiden Album (CD-Ausgabe aus den 80ern) und da hab ich diesen Effekt kein bisschen.

    Der Effekt ist mir ehrlicherweise noch nicht aufgefallen. Könnte aber natürlich an der dritten Gitarre liegen. Eine Gitarrenspur mehr, will auch erstmal untergebracht werden. :halloweenhappy:

    Ne, das liegt an der nicht vorhandenen Dynamik. Das ist bei Bands mit weniger Instrumenten genau das Selbe, das hat nichts mit der Abmischung zu tun, nur mit dem Mastering (Lynyrd Skynyrd hatten auch 3 Gitarren und es klang sehr gut). Wenn alles die gleiche Lautstärke hat, kann man halt auch nichts mehr raushören. Deswegen höre ich ja auch eigentlich lieber alte Alben (also auch alte CDs und keine Remasters) oder gehe auf Konzerte.


    Willst du Maiden nächstes Jahr auch live sehen?

    Wenn es meine Gesundheit zulässt, wäre das sehr schön. Ist ja vielleicht die letzte Chance. :halloweenhappy:


    Wie gesagt, den Effekt bemerke ich (Gott sei Dank) nicht. Finde aber ältere Produktionen auch erdiger und schöner.

    Leider nein. Seit Seventh son... gefiel mir nichts mehr so wirklich. Obwohl die Brave New World wenigstens ganz nett war. :halloweenhappy:

    Da hättest du mal vor 10 Jahren dabei sein sollen, wo sie nur Lieder von den ersten 4 Alben gespielt haben.


    Aber live sind sie immernoch geil, egal was sie spielen.

    Mein Lieblingsalbum bleibt eh die Somewhere in Time. Ein ewiges Meisterwerk... :halloweenyes:

    Somewhere In Time ist n Geiles Album, wobei mir die Alben vorher fast noch besser gefallen. Da ist der Sound irgendwie noch direkter und nicht so hochglanzpoliert
